Obituary
Donald Andrew, 23, 320 Maple street, was instantly killed Tuesday when he accidentally brushed against an electric high voltage wire in a transformer area at the Kimble Electric company plant. Andrew was an employe of the W.A. Mattson construction company.
Funeral services will be held at the Giles Funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Alfred Bernadt will officiate and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Andrew was a navy veteran, and the American Legion will have military rites. He was born in Burlington, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russel C. Andrew. He attended school here, was a member of First Christian church. He served in the navy aboard an aircraft carrier for 3 years, had 13 battle stars, a liberation medal and 2 bronze stars. During his service he saw considerable action and helped put his ship through several severe Pacific storms.
Surviving are his wife. Evelyn Margaret; his 11-months old son, Michael Donald; his parents, a sister, Mrs. Rod Ralston, 721 Vine street.
