Mrs. Clara M. Swanson, 83, of 409 E. Mt. Pleasant street, West Burlington, died at 7:25 Monday in Burlington Hospital after being in failing health several years. She was born March 11, 1868, in Sweden, and came to this country 65 years ago. She was married to Carl Frederick Anderson, March 18, 1891, in Burlington, and to Gustaf W. Swanson, Oct. 17, 1936 in West Burlington. Anderson died Dec. 11, 1928.
Mrs. Swanson was a member of Messiah Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, a son, ed Anderson, of Burlington, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and a sister are dead. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Prugh's chapel with Rev. Russell Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
