Obituary
Mrs. Selma Emelia Anderson, 76, 2105 S. Main street, widow of Carl Ludwig Anderson, died at her home this morning at 4:25, after a short illness.
Mrs. Anderson was born at Guttenberg, Sweden, Nov. 26, 1863 and had been a resident of Burlington 56 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Hurd, her mothr's maiden name being Brodd. She was a member of the Swedish Baptist church and was a Gold Star mother, a son, Elmer Anderson, having died in 1918 in the World war. Her husband died July 28, 1936.
Survivors are one son, Clarence W. Anderson of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. A.F. Dankwardt of Burlington and Mrs. C.H. Woodruff of Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
