Martin Anderson, 830 North street, died July 2, in Burlington hospital at 6:40 p.m. He was 66 years old. Born in Sweden, Anderson came to the United States with his parents in 1901. The family settled at Monmouth, Ill. Anderson was married to Mary Katherine Van Cleve of Chicago, and they lived on a farm morthwest of Morning Sun for about 35 years. Failing health forced Anderson to retire and in 1950 the couple moved to Burlington.
Besides his wife, Anderson leaves a son and a daughter; Charles Anderson, in military service and Mrs. Fern Lombardo of Sacramento, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers and a sister; George Anderson, Sunland, Calif; Einar, Leonard and Glen Anderson, all of Rockford, Ill. and Mrs. Art Carlson, of Geriau, Ill.
Last rites will be conducted by the Rev. Carl Stiefel at the Pierce funeral home, in Morning Sun, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington. The family will meet friends at the Pierce funeral home Wednesday evening.
