Myrtle Elizabeth Anderson, 99, of Burlington, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2003, at Great River Medical Center, Klein Center.
Born August 8, 1903, in Momence, Illinois, she was the daughter of Martin and Mary Jensen Petersen. She married Arthur R. Anderson on September 19, 1935, in Kankakee, Illinois. He died January 27, 1977.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping and being with people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and especially enjoyed her home and her view of the Mississippi River.
Survivors include two nieces, Donna Pombert of Kankakee, and Mary Ann DeVine of Clinton, and one nephew, Byron Riley of Cedar Rapids.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one niece.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Prugh's Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel, with the Rev. Forrest Krummel officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Great River Medical Center Klein Center.
