Ida Marie Butler, 92, of Burlington, died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at St. Francis Continuation Care Center. Born Dec. 3, 1907, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ida Schinzel Kochwasser. On Feb. 1, 1928, she married Ralph "Pete" Butler in Burlington. He died Feb. 18, 1988. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Church of Christ of Burlington. She was a former member of Carthage Lake Club. Survivors include one son, Jack E. Butlelr of Las Vegas; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. Visitation will begin after noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Butler will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Milo Van Veldhuizen officiatng. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Francis Continueation Care Center.
