Obituary
Mrs. Mabel Jennie Anderson, 75, 1109 S. Garfield, died Wednesday night in St. Francis hospital after an extended illness. She was born here Feb. 21, 1885, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Quick, and was married to Axel R. Anderson here on Nov. 25, 1908. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran church, the ladies' organization of the church, and the King's Daughters.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Paul J., of Short Hills, N.J., and James R., of Burlington; a daughter, Mrs. Chester Johnson, of Davenport; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister are dead.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Messiah Lutheran church, the Rev. John L. Kindschuh officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be taken to the church from Wallen's chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday.
A memorial fund will be established at Messiah Lutheran church.
