Obituary
Mrs. Louisa Christina Anderson, widow of Peter Anderson, died at midnight last night at her home, 1300 South street, following an illness of five years. She was in her seventy-fifth year and had been bedfast since breaking her hip five years ago. She had been a resident of Burlington and Des Moines county for over sixty years.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Sweden, May 16, 1850, and came to America with her parents when a child, the family settling on a farm near Burlington on the Madison road. She was married to Peter Anderson in Burlington in 1868. Her husband, who was an employee of the Burlington railroad, was killed in an accident n the local railroad yards thirty-five years ago.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Victor Bloom, Mrs. John Vogelgesang, Ethel Anderson, and Emma Anderson, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Harry Stoiting of Moline, Il.; also one son, William C. Anderson of Burlington. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church.
Funeral services have not been arranged, pending the arrival of her daughter, Mrs. Stoiting, from Moline.
