Lewis E. Anderson, native of Sweden, until 8 years ago a resident of Burlington, died in Sacred Heart hospital Sunday at 4:30 a.m. after an illness of 2 weeks.
He was born in Sweden Dec.11, 1860. Since leaving Burlington he had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. G.W. lofstedt, in Chicago, until 6 months ago when he came to Ft Madison to reside with another daughter, Mrs. Sylvia King, 7131/2 Ave. H. He was a member of the Woodlawn Ave. Baptist chutch at Burlington. He was married in Chicago t Anna Hogdahl who died 26 years ago.
He leaves a son, Lawrence, of Monmouth, Il.; 2 daughters; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hall funeral home here Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Edwin Granholm, pastor of the Woodlawn Ave. Baptist church at Burlington, in charge. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery in Burlington.
