Joseph Robert "J.R." Anderson, 87, of 12129 Augusta Road, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1994, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Nov. 25, 1906, in Henderson County, Ill., he was the son of August and Ann Hurka Anderson. He married Viletta O. Krekel Aug. 12, 1930, in Burlington. She died Aug. 11, 1989.
He grew up in the Biggsville, Ill., area. He was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Anderson was a dairy farmer and raised registered Jerseys for over 50 years. Survivors include one son, Marion Anderson of rural Burlington; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call after 9 a.m.
