John B. Anderson, 79, long a resident of Burlington, died at his home, 629 South Fourth street, early this morning after a serious illness of three weeks.
Mr. Anderson had been in poor health two years. He was born in Sweden and came here at the age of 18. He formerly was employed as a blacksmith at the Burlington railroad shops. he was a membre of Messiah Lutheran church, the church brotherhood and the Burlington Route relief. Surviving are several cousins in Burlington.
Funeral services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday followed by rites at Messiah church at 3 p.m. The Rev. A.D. Freden, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
