Helen Mary Anderson, 85, formerly of Autumn Heights, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1989, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1902, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harvey and Ida Mae Hankey Rudy. She married Rudolph Anderson in May 1922. He died Nov. 3, 1963.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary and a charter member of the Eagls Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Delpha Jean McDonald, Hurst, Texas, and Mary Ellen Grier, Phoenix, Ariz; one son, Loren Rudolph Anderson, West Point; one sister, Mrs. Mattie (Arnold) Gressman, Dvenport; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for MRs. Anderson will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donald hoornsta officiating. Burial wil be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Messiah Lutheran Church.
