Funeral services for Harry Anderson, 65-year-old Burlington railroad engineer, who died at his home, 611 South Central avenue late Friday afternoon will be held at the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body was taken home from Prugh's chapel this morning. Mr. Anderson's death was due to a heart ailment from which he had been suffering for three months. His death occured at 5:30 p.m.
Mr. Anderson was born at Winchester, Va., Jan. 10, 1868, the son of John and Mary Anderson, and was one of a family of seven children, five of whom preceeded him in death. He came to Burlington 47 years ago and had lived here ever since. For 43 years he had been in the employ of the Burlington railroad. He was married to Mary E. Gaver at Mratinsburg, West Va., June 27, 1900.
Mr. Anderson was a Mason, a member of Des Moines lodge No. 1. He was also a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Court of Honor, and attended Grace Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow; one son George Hamilton Anderson, and one grandson, Donald George Anderson, both of Burlington, and one brother Elsworth Anderson, of Martinsburg, West Va.
