Frances Hofmann Anderson, 85, of the Kings Daughters Home at 628 S. Leebrick St., formerly of 515 S. Starr Ave., died at 6:10 a.m. Firday, March 27, 1992, at the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center. Born 7/22/1906, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry and Minnie Niemeyer Hofmann. On Sept, 7, 1929, she married Raymond Anderson in Holdrege, Neb. He died Feb. 28, 1980.
She was a switchboard operator at Hotel Burlington. She was a member of St. luke United Church of Christ and its Women's Fellowship, Federated Women's Club and Garden and Needlework Group. Survivors include two sons, Robert Anderson of Chicago, and Richard Anderson of Boston, Mass; a sister, Flora Stoermer of Burlington; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three sisters and a brother.
Memorial services for Mrs. Anderson will be 3 p.m. today in St. Luke United Church of Christ with the Rev. Darryl Bockting officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery with private committal services for the family.
A memorial has been established for St. Luke United Church of Christ.
