Mrs. Emelia C. Anderson died suddenly at 4 a.m. today in her home, 531 Leebrick street, death being due to a heart attack. She had been in apparent good health, went to church Sunday as usual, and had not complained of illness. Her maiden name was Emelia Granat, and she was born in Ostergotland. Sweden Nov. 11, 1861. She came to Amercia in 1881 and to Burlington in 1884, the year she was united in marriage with John A. Anderson. This city has since been her home. She had been a member of Messiah Lutheran church for the past 57 years. Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons and two daughters: Eric A. Anderson, Rudolph B. Anderson, Mrs. Eveylin Anderson and Mrs. Elsie Luth, all of Burlington and nine grandchildren. Her husband, one son, Hugo, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at Messiah Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body is at the Burnett- Wallen funeral home and will be taken to the residence at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
