Claus August Anderson was taken by death yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at his home, 15 South Gunnison street, following an extended illness.
Claus Anderson was born in Sweden, August 3, 1859 and came to America and direct to Burlington in 1880. He was married to Miss Christine Swanson February 23,1884, who survives him. Mr Anderson was a pattern maker at the West Burlington shops, but has been on the pension list since June. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. and of the Messiah Lutheran church, of which he was a trustee for a number of years.
