Mr. Clarence W. Anderson, 1019 S. Starr died at Burlington hospital Thursday after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 4, 1879, in Fairfield the son of the late Mr. and Mrs Gustaf P. Anderson. He was married to Clara Swanson in Burlington June 19, 1907. He was paymaster at Murray Iron Works for 51 years retiring in 1955.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Izaak Walton league, Lutheran Brotherhood and the Messiah Lutheran church.
Survivors include his wife: two daughters, Mrs. Doanld (Ruth) Engberg, 1515 Spray, and Mrs. Kenneth Meth, 408 S. Leebrick; a son, Richard, Buffalo, N.Y.; two brothers, DAle, Fairfield; and Carl, San Antonion, Tex; a sister, Mrs. Edith Gire, Fairfield; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His parents and a brother are dead.
Services will be a the Sheagren Funeal home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Lindau officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
