Obituary
Mrs. Christine C. Anderson, 89, died at her home, 115 S. Gunnison street, at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday following illness since last Nov. 26 when she suffered a fall.
She was born in Smaland, Sweden, June 28, 1853 and came to Burlington in 1878, accompanied by her sister Emma Swanson. She was united in marriage with Claus A. Anderson Feb. 23, 1884. Mrs. Anderson was an active member of Messiah Lutheran church, the ladies aid and missionary society.
Surviving are a daughter, Hannah Anderson of Burlington; one son Herbert A. Anderson, Burlington; a brother and sister, Gus Swanson and Emma Swanson of this city, and a brother and sister in Sweden. Her husband, four children and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Messiah Lutheran church, preceded by short rites at the residence. Rev. A.D. Freden will officiate. The body is at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home and will be taken to the residence at 10 a.m. Thursday.
