Edward Leroy Burtalo, 66, of Burlington, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at his home. Born September 16, 1942, in Burlington, he was the son of William LeRoy and Edith Mae Baker Burtalo. Mr. Burtalo worked at Antenna- craft. He was a former member of Police Benevolent Association. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed CB radios, watching movies and electronic repair. Survivors include two sisters, Dolly Phillips of West Burlington and Mary Ann Dewine of Burlington; two brothers, William Burtalo of Burlington and Ruben Burtalo of West Burlington; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated. The funeral for Mr. Burtalo will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Terry Vance officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
