Obituary
Mrs. Effie Balzer, 40, Argyle court, died at Burlington hospital Wednesday night after an illness of 1 ½ years.
She was born in Mediapolis, March 17, 1901, and was married here June 27, 1923, to Raymond Balzer. Mrs. Balzer was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.
Surviving are her husband; four children, Mrs. Charles Fye, Charlotte, Milton and Arthur, all at home; her father, Rene Vannice, Mediapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Brandt of Aledo, Ill., and Mrs. Bernard Carroll, Morning Sun; a brother, Willard Vannice, Mediapolis. Her mother and a brother preceded her in death.
Rites will be held at the Burnett-Wallen Funeral Home at 2 pm Sunday, conducted by Dr. RR Beter, pastor of Bethany Church.
