Varnie THeodore Lindstadt, 88, Madison Rd., died in Veterans hospital, Iowa City, at 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 19. The son of John and Sophia Danielson Lindstadt, he was born here March 27, 1890. He married Hazel Larson June 2, 1926, in Burlington; she died earlier. A World War i Army veteran, he was a retired carpenter and member of Messiah Lutheran church. Surviving: Son, Carl, Burlington; brother, Robert G., Burlington rural; and three grandchildren. The body is at Prugh's Chapel.
