Obituary
Mrs. Bothilda Anderson, 86, one of the oldest members of Woodlawn Baptist church, died in Burlington Hospital on July 11. Her home was at 503 South Leebrick street. Death terminated a long illness. Mrs. Anderson was born in Skane, Sweden on Jan. 27, 1868 and came to the United States in 1893, coming directly to Burlington. On June 17, 1896, she was married to Carl A. Anderson, contractor who erected many Burlington buildings. Anderson died Feb. 7, 1923.
Mrs. Anderson served as president of the Ladies Aid Society of Woodlaen Avenue church for 19 years, and as secretary of the same organization for 16 years. She is survived by a son and two daughters; howard C. and Eva V. Anderson, both of Burlington and Mrs. Lydia Holmgren of Minneapolis, MN.
Also, surviving are a stepson and two stepdaughters: David G. Anderson, Mrs. A.C. Jugenhelmer and Mrs. W.S. Moore, all of Burlington and 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; also a brother and a sister in Sweden. The body is at the Wallen Chapel.
