John Robert Bopp, 74, of 216 Sweeny died at 12:30 p.m. at his home after an' illness of 9 months.
He was born in Landenhausen. Germany. May 4. 1873. and came to the US 60 years ago and to Burlington 30 years ago. He had
worked at the Murray Iron Works foundry in West Burlington retiring in 1937. Dec. 6. 1906, in Bozeman. Mont., he married Emma Wolkenhauer. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his widow: 2 daughters, Mrs. Irene Thrasher and Mrs. Edward Whitham; a step-daughter. Mrs.Gus Rieckhoff, 6 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild, all of Burlington.
The body was taken to Prugh's chapel
