Obituary
Bernice E. Almendinger, 92, of Autumn Heights, Burlington, she was the daughtr of William A. and Cora Lord Mooney. She married David John Almendinger Aug. 29, 1917, in Rok Island, IL. He died June 22, 1966. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Zion United Church of Christ Service Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth John Almendinger and James Norman Almendinger, both of Burlington; four grand-children; 10 great-grand-children; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Friends may call as they desire at Prugh's Chapel.
The graveside committal service for Mrs. Almendinger will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. A memorial has been established for the Zion United Church of Christ.
