Obituary
Albert E. Allen, 719 S. Third street, 90 year old veteran of the Spanish-American war who served in combat in Cuba, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday in his home. He had been in failing health the last 2 years. Allen was born Feb. 15, 1862, in New York City and came to Burlington 40 years ago. he was married to the former Mary C Moore Oct 30, 1908 at Davenport. An upholsterer for Chittenden & Eastman company and had retired a number of years ago.
Allen was a member of Oak Street Baptist church, the Veterans of Foreign wars and Spansih-American War veterans.
Surviving ar his widow; and one daughter, Mrs. Irene M. Stiles of Burlington.
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Prughs chapel with Rev. Peter Pfeiffer officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Gorve cemetery.
