Obituary
Adolph Albertsen, 68 years old, a former resident of Burlington, but for the past 35 years residing in Ottumwa, died at his home in that city yesterday. The body will be brought to Burlington Wednesday afternoon on train No 6 and will be interred in Aspen Grove, the funeral cortege to proceed to the cemetery from the depot. Funeral services will be held at the parish church in Ottumwa. Rev. Father Foley, officiating Wednesday morning.
Mr. Albertsen was born in Illinois April 16, 1858. He came to Burlington with his parents when a small child and grew to manhood here. He learned the trade of tinner and was employed in the Burlington Route shops here and at Ottumwa, until overtaken by ill health some four years ago.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Nana Doran, of Burlington, to whom he was married in 1899; one sister, Mrs. Emma Haines, wife of W.E. Haines, of this city and a brother, William Albertsen, of Hammond, Ind.
