Jeff H. Akin, 73, of 1017 Division, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Mercy unit, Burlington Medical Center, after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 13, 1905 at Gregory, MO., to Thomas and Effee Wheeler Sovern. He was a retired laborere and was a Protestant.
Surviving: Two half-sisters. Mrs. Marjorie Willeford and Mrs. Norma Brandmeyer, both of Burlington; three half-brothers, Ray and Ralph Sovern, both of Burlington and Arthur Sovern, Norwalk, Ca.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday, committal service, Aspen Grove cemetery. The body is at Prugh Funeral Service.
