Obituary
Herman G. Ahlberg, 85, retired woodworker, of 913 S. Central, died at Burlington hospital Thursday at 5:05 p.m. after an illness of about seven weeks.
He was born May 5, 1871, in Borg, Sweden. Aug. 24, 1900, he married Ida Thulin in Burlington. She died in 1950.
He had been a woodworker all his life, returning about 10 uears ago. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a charter member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Hagerty, Burlington, and Mrs. Viola Prill, Des Plaines, IL; a brother, Charles Ahlberg, Gladstone, Il; and a sister, Mrs. Elina Anderson, Aledo, IL.
Services will be held at Wallen's chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev John L Kindschuh will officiate. Burial will be in Apen Grove cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
