Services for Bertha Amanda Scheller, 88, of 1015 N. 10th, will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, February 1, 1958, from the Giles funeral home. Dr. William Keesecker will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Miss Scheller died Thursday afternoon in Burlington hospital after a long illness. She was born Nov. 1, 1869, in Galena, Ill., the daughter of Col. Ulysses and Anna Cheller. Her father served under General Gant during the Civil War. She was a member of Daughters of Union Veterans. She was a life member of the First Presbyterian Church, and of Rebekah lodge. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Elmer Burkhardt and Mrs. Isabelle Bonar, and a nephew, Ulysses Seck, all of Burlington. Her parents and three sisters are dead.
