John Anton Addicks, resident of Burlington many years, died at 1;30 p.m. Sunday following an eight weeks illness. he failed to recover from injuries suffered in a fall May 17.
For the last 20 years, Addicks had made his home with his stepson, W.H. Lauenroth, 809 Sycamore street.
He was born in Bielefeld, Germany, Jan. 30, 1856, and came to the United States 56 years ago.
he married Mrs. Fredericks Lauenroth Sept 8, 1891. She died in 1922. he was a member of Oak Street, Baptist church.
Surviving are his stepson and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Emma Huneke of Burlington, and several step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home. Rev. Bernadt will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
