Mrs. Kate Abendroth, 305 Winter, West Burlington, died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 6, 1888 in Luton, Beds, England the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jethro Weedon. On Oct.20, 1917 she married Edward Anendroth in Burlington, She was a member of the St. Paul United church, Gold Star Mothers, V.F.W. Auxiliary, WWI Auxiliary, American Leg on and the Disabled American Auxiliary. Surviving: Two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Lyon, and Mrs. Marcella Zeller, both of Burlington; a sister, Miss Bettie Weedon, England; four brothers, George Weedon all of England, Ronald Weedon, Davenport; five grandchildren.
Services: Friday, 2 p.m. Sheagren Funeral Home, Pastor Carl Kemper; Aspen Grove cemetery.
