Mrs. Amelia A. Baldwin passed away at 4:40 o’clock yesterday afternoon at her home. 818 Jefferson Street. Two weeks ago at the opera house she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she failed to rally, and it had been apparent that the end was near.
She was born in New York state January 25, 1852, and had many friends in this city, where she was a member of the First Baptist church. She is survived by the husband, Charles F. Baldwin.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Service and interment private.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the family residence on Jefferson Street. Rev. Mr. Wilcox, of Des Moines, conducted the service and gave a message of comfort to those left to mourn her loss. Deceased was a member of his congregation in NY state and again when he had charge of a congregation at Osage, Ia. Rev. Mr. simons, of the First Baptist Church of this city
