Mrs. Catherine Wehmeier, 92, died at her home, 215 South Starr avenue, at 6:45 last night. She had been totally blind for many years and in poor health for some time, but had been seriously ill for only about a week. Mrs. Wehmeier, whose maiden name was Disque, was born in Germany She came to the United States with her parents when she was a young girl. The family settled in Philadelphia and later came to Burlington. Mrs. Wehmeier has lived here since that time. She was married to Fred Wehmeier, who preceded her in death. She attended Bethany Lutheran church until her blindness made it impossible for her to do so. One son, Ferdinand Wehmeier, of Spokane, Wash., survives her. A daughter preceded her in death. The body was taken to Prugh's chapel, pending funeral arrangements.
