Miss Cathy Lynn Burk, 56, of Burlington, died Sunday, October 7, 2012, at her home. Born March 11, 1956 in Orange, Texas, she was the daughter of Edgar LeRoy "Roy" and Leona N. Oetken Burk. Miss Burk worked 22 years as a RNC at Fort Madison Health Center. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with Johnathan, camping, NASCAR racing and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr. She was always there for her family and friends. Survivors include her three children, Johnathan Burk of Burlington, Felicia Breuer of Burlington and Emily Burk; her parents Roy and Leona Burk of Burlington; three sisters, Sandra (Dan) Morris of Burlington, Jannette (David) Knutsen of Davenport and Tara (Bob) Lamphier of McCausland; three brothers, David (Paula) Burk of Kahoka, Missouri, Jarrod (Valerie) Burk of Burlington and James (Lori) Burk of Muscatine and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; two sisters-in-law and a nephew . Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Johnathan's education..
