Obituary
John Baker, 87, died at Henry County Memorial hospital, Thursday at 5:15 pm after a long illness.
The son of Henry and Anna Margaret (Horn) Baker, he was born December 11, 1882, at Wever. For the past 67 years, he farmed in Canaan township, Henry County and was a member of the Canaan United Methodist Church.
On February 20, 1907, he married Maud Johnson who predeceased him February 9, 1920.
He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Horace Baker and Willis Baker, both of Mt. Pleasant, Wilbur Baker of Winfield, and Mrs. Foster (Ethel) Brown of Mt. Union. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, Mr. Harry Baker of Fayetteville, Ark. and three sisters, Mrs. Otis Gesling of Burlington, Mrs. Walter Lemon of New London, and Mrs. Esther Moon or Mt. Union, Penn.
The funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, at the Crane-Ewert-Young Funeral home at the desire.
