Obituary
Charles Emil Baker, 1402 S.t 10th Street, died at his home late Friday after an illness of several months.
He was born in Burlington, Feb. 26, 1876, the son of William and Hannah Zeidler Baker, and on June 30, 1917, was united in marriage to Selma C. Hunger, in Burlington.
He was employed at the CB&Q shops in West Burlington for 38 years as a machinist.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; Des Moines Lodge, AF&AM; Railway Veterans(C.E. Perkins Chapter) and the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his widow; a sister, Mrs. Roy Appleby, Davenport; a brother, Walter Baer, Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Prugh’s chapel Monday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery
