Obituary
The sad news was received here last evening of the sudden death in Chicago of Wallace B. Baird, son of James G. Baird, of this city, and brother of Ed Baird, the well-known clerk at the Central Hotel. The young man, who was about twenty-six years of age, was well known in Burlington, having lived here for many years. About five years ago he left for Chicago to accept a position in a wholesale boot and shoe establishment, which he has since held. He leaves a father, who lives with his brother on South Twelfth street in this city, and two brothers, one of whom, Harry, resides in Chicago. The remains arrived here this morning and the funeral will take place at nine o’clock tomorrow morning from 615 South Fifth Street, the residence of the deceased’s father
