Obituary
Mrs. Lydia Baird, wife of Mitchell Baird, died yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock at Mercy hospital following an operation. She was born in Benton township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henery Benne, on May 29, 1866. She leaves her husband, father, and two brothers, John H. Benne of Crete, Neb., and Edward Benne of Burlington, and two sisters, Mrs. F.A. Morrett of Washington, IA, and Mrs. W. Flaar of Mt. Union. The funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from Prugh's chapel. Friends are invited to this service but interment in Aspen Grove will be private. Rev. Mr. Robert Neuman will officiate at the services.
