Obituary
The remains of the late James G. Baird arrived yesterday morning from Eldorado Springs, Missouri, and will be buried from Prugh's establishment at 2 pm this afternoon. Re.v. Salter officiating. Friends of this old-time Burlingtonian are invited to attend the services. The pall-bearers will be Messrs. J. R. Nairn, William Gillies, Robert Donahue, N.P. Sunderland, M. A. Pinney, and A.H. Wells.
To correct a historical error in the former report of the death of Mr. Baird it is now stated that he began business as a photographer in Burlington about 1846. His first studio was over Carpenter's jewelry store, and not on the west side of 3rd street as before stated. When we entered into the partnership with Tieford the studio was located in the O'Brien building, corner of 4th and Jefferson streets.
