Obituary
The body of Edward Baird, former resident of Burlington, who died in St. Louis, November 24, will be brought to Burlington for burial, according to notification received at Unterkircher's funeral home. It will be taken from the railroad station direct to Aspen Grove cemetery tomorrow morning for burial in the family lot. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Baird, two brothers and one sister are buried here, and Mr. Baird was the last of his family.
The elder Baird was a minister of the gospel here in the early days and the family home was on the corner of Central Avenue and Maple Streets, in the house now occupied by Wm. B. Hunt. For a number of years prior to leaving Burlington, Ed Baird was a clerk at the old Hotel Duncan, now the Delano.
