William Bailey, 87, of 1911 S. Sixteenth Street, a member of St. John's Catholic Church, died at 12:20 am Tuesday in St. Francis hospital after an extended illness.
He was born May 6, 1864, at Bonaparte, the son of James and Mary Rhoades Bailey, and was married to the former Minnie Mosena.
Surviving is a daughter Mrs. Jacqueline Jackson, Burlington, and 3 grandchildren. Bailey's wife is dead.
Services will be at 9 am Thursday in St. John's church. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 8:50. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
