Obituary
William A. Badger, formerly a Burlington railroad fireman and resident of this city until eight years ago, died Sunday at his home in St. Cloud, Minn. His body will be brought to Burlington tonight at 10:45 and funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home in charge of the Rev. J.H. Buescher. Burial will be at the Aspen Grove cemetery.
Mr. Badger was born at Chariton, IA and lived in Burlington 20 years. He was employed as a locomotive fireman by the Burlington railroad until 10 years ago and was well known to railroad men in this city. He had been ill for the last year.
He is survived by five sons, Walter M. Badger of Chicago; John H. Badger of Galesburg; Laurence C. Badger of Minneapolis, Minn.; Clarence R. Badger of Chicago, and Cornell Badger of St. Cloud; one daughter, Helen Badger of Leach Lake, Minn.; five grandchildren; one brother, Newton Badger of Chariton, and one sister Mrs. Phoebe Moore, also of Chariton. His wife passed away in 1907, and a daughter also preceded him in death.
