Mrs. Elizabeth Bockhouse, sixty-seven years old, died in her houme, 1108 Corse street, Sunday morning at 6:00, following a long illness. She had lived in Burlington since she was a child.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hoerr, and was born in Germany, May 14, 1854. Shortly after the family came to the United States, and the parents were regarded as old settlers in Burlington. Her husband, Charles Bockhouse, died in 1914. She was a member of the First Evangelical church.
She leaves four daughters: Mrs. Elmer Gibbs and Mrs. Fred J. Hadler, of Burlington; Mrs. C. Bonar and Mrs. John Huppenberger, of Yarmouth, Ia., two brothers, Philip and Charles Hoerr, of Burlington, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 1108 Corse Street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00. Friends are invited to attend. Burial will be made in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
