Obituary
Mrs. Mary Reinhardt Bachman, 79, died at her residence, 714 Dunham Street, at 8:15 am yesterday following a year of failing health. She had lived in Iowa since she was two years old.
Mrs. Bachman was born in Muskegon county, O., May 16, 1850, and came to Wapello county, Ia., with her parents. She was married to John F. Bachman in 1875 and the family home has been in Burlington for the past 4 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband, three sons, Ellis H. Bachman of Burlington, J. Ross Bachman of Colorado; four daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Ross and Miss Mae Bachman of Burlington; Mrs. Max Tolton of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Mayo Williams of Ottumwa; three brothers, and four sisters; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 pm from the Burnett-Wallen funeral home, preceded by a brief service at the residence at 1:30 pm. Rev. Fred Skewes, pastor of Grace M. E. Church, will have charge of the services and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence from the funeral home at 9 am on Thursday.
