John F. Bachman, 520 Dunham Street, retired farmer, died suddenly in the residence of his son at 4:45 pm Tuesday.
He was born in Ohio, Aug. 6, 1849, and had resided in this city for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Grace Methodist church.
Surviving are six children, Ralph Bachman of Stockton, Cal., Ellis Bachman of Burlington, Mrs. Lloyd Ross of Mendota, Mo., Mrs. Emmett Haley of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Elizabeth Talton of Ponoma, Cal., Mrs. Mayo Williams of Van Nuys, Cal.; one brother, Fred, Bloomfield, Ia.; 13 Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife, one son, and one daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held in Prugh's Chapel, at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. Edwin W. Frohardt will officiate. Friends are invited.
