George Bacher, 71, of 212 Spring, was pronounced dead on arrival at Burlington hospital Sunday morning. The police ambulance was called at 10:37 a.m.
Bacher, a retired parks department employee, had been ill for several months.
He was born October 22, 1886, at Burlington, the son of Phillip and Jennie M Hickok Bacher. He was a member of First Methodist church and of the Hawkeye Natives.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mabel Rutherford, Burlington; two brothers, F.A. Bacher, Silver Springs, Md, and Jack Bacher, Burlington, with whom he made his home.
Two brothers and three sisters are dead.
Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Prugh's chapel. Dr. George Hunt will officiate. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
