Obituary
Many friends mourn today the death of Miss Ida Babcock, who passed away late yesterday afternoon at her home, 124 S. Central Avenue. Miss Babcock was a victim of pneumonia. Her death leaves a vacant place in her church, home, and social circles that can never be filled. She was benevolent and kind to all. She was an active member of the Baptist church and of the Hope Circle of King's Daughters.
Ida Babcock was born February 28, 1877, at Walnut, IL. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas S. Babcock. In 1884, the family moved to Burlington, and since that time has made this city their home. Miss Babcock was educated in the schools of Burlington and has made a circle of friends to whom she is very dear. She is survived by her mother, three sisters, Harriet, Anna, and Mrs. Hayden Keehn and one brother, Milton.
