Harriett Babcock, 76, of 124 S. Central Avenue, died Wednesday at 11:35 pm in Mercy hospital. She had been in failing health for a number of years.
She was born in Walnut, IL, Sept. 18, 1872, the daughter of Thomas S. and Sarah Ann Sargeant Babcock, and had lived in Burlington for 65 years. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
A sister, Anna, survives.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 pm in Prugh's Chapel. Rev. O.P. Grobe will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
