Fred A. Ekstrom, 82, :Los Angeles, Calif., a former Burlington resident, died Sunday, April 29, at his home. He was born Aug. 23, 1891, in Sweden, the son of Nells and Ann Peterson Ekstrom. He married Iva Osborne; she died in 1962. A railroad conductor and member of Masonic lodge, Mr. Ekstrom also lived in North Platte, Neb., before moving to California. Surviving: Two daughters, Dorothy Kane, Boone, and Imogene Robbins, Culver City, Calif.; one brother, Albert Ekstrom; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Graveside committal services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aspen Grove cemetery, Rev. G.A. Saathoff. Prugh's chapel of Burlington is handling arrangements.
