The family of Mr. John A. Dalldorf has been stricken in a most grievous manner through the death of his oldest son, Emil, who had just entered manhood and gave the promise of becoming a very useful member of society. The cause of his early demise was consumption, which took hold of him three or four months ago, and which, in spite of the most skillful medical treatment and the utmost care of loving hands, conquered his fast failing strength at last. He died yesterday morning, aged twenty-two years. He had an honorable, sincere and agreeable character; was industrious and ambitious in his work, sober in his habits and gentlemanly in his ways, a young man liked by all who knew, and loved by all who stood near him in life. General sympathy is expressed for the mourning parents and other members of the family.
